Giganews usenet users?

I want to pick about a dozen files from a post made on a newsgroup about 5 months ago, which means that I need to register with one of the usenet server companies. I will basically need to sign on for one month, suck up about 20 GB and probably will never need it again. I've been warned away from UseNExt which apparently has billing issues (e.g., bills up front, then won't let you quit.)

I've seen people here recommend GigaNews. Does that seem like a place that I could safely use my credit card without racking up undeserved bills?

How about the access that the makers of Unison offer? Unison is a very good Usenet client as well.

Unison is offering only 100 days of binaries and the files I need are just outside of range.
