Global warming weenies - get off the Web - you are part of the problem!

Revealed: the environmental impact of Google searches - Times Online
Quote:
Performing two Google searches from a desktop computer can generate about the same amount of carbon dioxide as boiling a kettle for a cup of tea, according to new research.
How you can help reduce the footprint of the Web - Times Online

So it's Sunday morning, you're sitting down at the computer with your cup of coffee, and you decide to search for the latest YouTube hit. You groan. That video is taking too long to load. You open a new window and decide to read the morning paper while you wait for the video to download. This scene may seem innocent enough, but were you aware of the fact that your websurfing has an impact on the environment? Would you be surprised to know that it contributes to a greater global carbon footprint than the whole of the aviation industry?
..more..
So lay off tellin' folk to Google whatever !!!

I am going to start drinking sun tea, heated by the sun. I need the google.com searches for my research.

Your research can go to the hell into which you are sending our planet!

Global warming is just so much BS.

There is not one human activity that can't be linked to global warming.

Global warming is the natural result of increased population on this planet.

There is only one "real" solution to global warming, however unpopular it might be, look where it left the last guy that tried it.

The pursuit of a solution to global warming (which can't be solved) is just "smoke in mirrors" hiding the immediate problems of a safe source of food, and water, which can be solved, but is an undertaking that is solely the responsibility of our government, while global warming can be blamed on all of us.

Bad food, and water, is a problem which is going to "get us" far sooner than global warming, and no one is doing bugger-all about.

Paranoid conspiracy theory? Think about it, when was the last time the growing of food was promoted by our government, or anybody else, as a "worthwhile" occupation? Seems to me we all have to eat?

Sorry but drives me nuts when people get these sayings wrong.

It's "Smoke AND Mirrors" referencing a magic trick, an illusion...

This is starting to happen FAR to frequently on the Internet and must be stopped...

If I was "referencing" a "magic trick, or illusion", that would be so, but I was "referencing" a crop of BS, (if you ever stepped in BS you would know there was no magic, or illusion involved, just a whole bunch of "5hit on your shoe"). It's not "magic", or "illusion", that our government is lying to us.

There is no magic here.

The bottom line is that underlining every issue - food, fuel, water, pandemic, whatever - is the problem of population. Until we come to some method of dealing with the fact that humans are overpopulating the planet we are doomed. Entitlement to fertility is the biggest single planetary issue, and if not addressed our species can kiss its a$$ goodbye. It isn't an 'if' - it is a 'when'.

The most troubling facet of this dilemma is who will kiss their ass good bye. I can assure you that between you and I and a family in Bangladesh, the latter will more likely die though they were far less responsible for this disaster than you and I are.

Nobody is responsible for global warming except Old Sol and Mother Nature. But we are dangerously overpopulating the planet.

Overpop, shmoverpop. I maintain that the planet could successfully support a much larger human population than it already does - were it not for humankind's propensity to fight amongst themselves rather than cooperate. Our violently political systems and tribalism are at fault here.
