And here I thought it was a part of bare bones basic common sense. Evidently, it isn't. I never understood how, let alone why, people don't move to the other lane, or at the bare minimum,
slow way down. I don't buy the excuse that drivers don't see the shouldered emergency vehicle(s) until the last second - unless you're only paying attention to the first 30 feet in front of your car, which in that case, you shouldn't be driving to begin with. Most emergency vehicles are clearly marked, with clear, bright lights; especially OPP cruises. How one doesn't notice is beyond me.
