Unhappy Heath Ledger Dead

Actor Heath Ledger dies at 28

How very tragic!

A morbid thought, but my 2nd thought was how this effects the release of the next batman.

It will be a bit eerie watching Batman but a tribute for sure. Great young actor with so much potential. Very tragic. Reminds me of River Pheonix in a way...

I really liked his acting. Very sad indeed.

Sorry to hear of this, he was very good in everything I saw him in, and his "Joker" looks to be quite the tour-de-force based on early reviews and the trailer.

It appears that drugs were involved, though it's too early to say if that was deliberate. Another young actor who seemed to have the world by the tail and then ... dead of some kind of excess.

A lesson for us all, I suppose.

Awful situation for his young daughter.

I've heard rumors of him floating in and out of rehab over the past year, struggling with depression, with heavy drug use prevalent during the filming of his last completed movie.

If it was drugs that did him in, then it is just a sad affair. 28, good looks, millionaire filmstar.

In the meantime, the economy in the US should be headline news on CNN, not this. Stocks are taking a nosedive (Apple I believe down 15% today), the feds intervene with a 3/4 percent rate cut. It should be far more concerning to the public than the death of a young actor.

This actually reminded me more of Brandon Lee than River Phoenix.

Granted The Crow was already going to be more of a "cult" movie than Batman ever could, I wonder how this will affect the movie?

A shame that he left behind a 3 year old daughter who will now never get to know her dad.
