I hate No-Fun-couver! No New Years fireworks!!!

My goodness it's like all 20+ municipalities and districts and this stupid region have become all paranoid.

Excuses range from not enough funding to not enough policing.

Come on, one officer and a taser can contain a whole crowd easy.

I want to see fireworks!!!

Real live ones!!!

I'm kicking myself for not going to Edmonton for New Years.

I seem to recall Calgary going through this sort of lunacy on Canada Day a few years ago. There was a lot of last minute scrambling to put things together but there were a handful of fireworks.

BTW I'm with you on this one.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Lived in St. Albert for 20 years and have never seen the local fireworks on July/January 1 each year. Never been to Edmonton's fireworks either.

I watch the big displays on TV. Can't be bothered with the five minute fire crackers they call a display in this area.

We had out fireworks cancelled until today here in St.John's. Of course, the wind, rain and snow, and 110+kp/h winds might of had something to do with their decision.
