Air Canada Center / Leafs game info

I am finally heading to Mecca (no offense to those who are Muslim) this Saturday to watch the Leafs play. I am coming from Ottawa and we're trying to figure out our best route to travel. We debated on taking th Go Train from Ajax but if the game runs late we'll have to wait for the 11:13 train. We are hoping to make it back to Kingston if possible so we are half way Sunday. We have free room and board in Kngston. I was told if I parked across the street from the ACC I could get to Kingston by 1am.

Should we park away from the ACC near the DVP? Should we just park at the ACC which I assume we'll take Lake Shore to the DVP.

Anyone have any advice?

i would say a TTC park and ride by the 401 and use the TTC
because wheb]n the ACC flushes out it could be a mad dash around there

hope this helps

We were thinking that as well; maybe somewhere near Yonge and Eglinton.

Thanks!

Nah, I wouldn't bother with train or the subway. At 10:00PM, the traffic isn't that bad. Sure, you might have to wait a bit to get on the Gardiner but it clears out pretty fast. Compared to half an hour or more to Yonge & Eglinton by subway, it's better just to park downtown.

Your biggest delay will be getting out of the parking lot if you choose the wrong one. For that reason, don't pick an underground lot since they are usually slow to empty.

I usually park in a surface lot just north and east of the Toronto Star building. It empties pretty quickly and then you are on the Gardiner pretty quick. Don't park in any of the lots between the ACC and Skydome, they are brutally backed up after the game. Pick a lot south and east of Yonge St. and then you hop on the Gardiner on-ramp at Jarvis.

HHK, your lots is perfect! We got into town at 3:30 so we parled right at the font of the exit. We eneded up going to the Loose Moose for a drink until 10:30 and by then the traffic was done...got on the Gardiner and out to the 401 without any slowdowns. Thanks for your help.

It's also a good thing we decided to stay in Belleville last night. Argos, Raptors, Santa Claus parade today would have killed us. I heard that the DVP was also closed as well....
