Mr. Marley was a very talented individual, but I think it was beyond even his considerable gifts to record a song that wasn't written until after he died.
And speaking of wailing, any chance that Bob was related to/descended from Jacob Marley? Now that would be a good story. Spike Lee could direct it; working title: A Christmas Joint.

Yeah I think there is a good chance!
After the Spliffs of Christmas Past, Present and Future visited, the scene was...
"I don't know what to do!" cried Scrooge, laughing and crying in the same breath; and making a perfect Laocoön of himself with his stockings. "I am as light as a feather, I am as happy as an angel, I am as merry as a school-boy. I am as giddy as a drunken man. A merry Christmas to every-body! A happy New Year to all the world! Hallo here! Whoop! Hallo!"
Now....where's that Cheese tray Marley? Did somebody take it?
