Toronto Soccer Player Joins My Southampton Saints!

My English Football team, who have had a dire 18 months, just acquired Canadian international defender Jim Brennan, who is from Toronto no less. I think he is their first Canadian player... and it means he's used to wearing red and white.

well, my favourite team has a guy playing for them who plays for Trinidad and Tobago......so will be playing at the World Cup this year against England :p beat that!

hahaha....no, that's great having a Canadian player. I'm looking forward to Toronto having an MLS team......so hopefully all the decent talent might hang around Canada a bit longer for us to enjoy watching them play.

I can actually... or at least equal it. The Saints also have a T&T International player: Kenwynne Jones banged in the winner this weekend to get us to the next round of the FA Cup. In the past we've had some very good international players who've played against England: Antti Niemi (Finland) and Michael Svensson (Sweden) foe example.

I don't think any Saints players will be making the England team this year... the last Saints England internationals were Wayne Bridge (now at Chelsea) and Peter Crouch (now at Liverpool). Sigh...

I thought Matt Le Tissier was the last Saint to play for England ;P the fat lazy bastard!
