My own Discussion board...need link my web address w/it?

Hi,

Okay, I was on holidays & resolved to do something web related... I wanted to create a web site/ make a podcast and/or do a discussion group. The later won out & I created a Discussion board on Part-time Parenting issues. I think it's pretty good as I made it up quickly (I've been delivering newspapers at 4:am in the morning this week as well.

Apologies to the person who used the same service to start a "Mac" forum for Ottawa. I guess he solitified my choice because it was free for now.

Here's my link! Please, visit:

http://www.1-2-free-forums.com/mf/everysecondweek.html

Now the challenge I'm having is how to link my new domain name from www.godaddy.com called www.part-timeparent.com. Not sure if this software will allow me this luxury or if it can be done. In the future I hope to maybe use the same cost software that ehmac uses as it is a favorite of mine (my favorite place!).

Your help/thoughts & maybe encouragement would be appreciated!

Best Regards,

davidslegend

davidslegend, a most unique forum, with an eclectic array of topics. As one who has been divorced, and was a single parent for nearly five years, I could have really used that site back in the period 1990-1995. Kudos.

I am an "experienced divorcee" meaning I have been divorced for about 7 years and I have raised four boys. I registered though, since maybe my experiences may be of assistance in the forum as support.

Many Thanks,

Hi,

I know that the concept is less explored then it should be.

Thank-you, hope things blossom & it fills a need!

Best Regards,

davidslegend

davidslegend, sadly, there is a need for this sort of site. I know that I suddenly became a single parent of a profoundly disabled six year old daughter and a son two weeks short of his 4th birthday when my wife announced that she wanted to "do her own thing" and was leaving. I think that Cameo had it rougher than I did, but I agree with her point that we, as survivors, have something to share.

Now you just have to get the word out there that the forum exists. It is a slow process - our club has a yahoo groups page and there is a little activity - we have advertised it through our club and others have found it on their own - would like to get it going a little stronger myself as I find them helpful - this site, ehmac, has sure helped me get in touch with the "outside" world.
