Just in: FEMA Head to be "removed" from Katrina relief team.

Just caught that on CNBC, with a press conf to take place round 13:45.

Was there any doubt? Or was it a matter of time?? But, leaving me more perplexed is that he will not get fired.

I wonder if Bush has thought about declaring war on the Atlantic Ocean yet.

I'd have to say the is just one more example of the one of the more serious flaws in this administration... never admitting they were wrong.

Call me old fashion, but I think it that admitting a mistake is a much braver and smarter route to follow.

wow.

I should have taped the audio. SECY of Homeland Security refused to let Mr. Brown (FEMA HEAD) answer any questions. Why hide?? He's on one of the hottest seats ever - esp now that there are rumors that he padded his CV. Then, you have his kwaliphikashns. Did he sell horses in his past?? Is that correct? Way to hook your friends up Dubbya.

Whether he faces the fire here or back in Washington, he's a dead duck. You have to be kidding me. Some reporters will stop @ nothing to get the truth, so expect your past to make the cover of the NY Times. You might as well resign and leave the get out the spotlight - @ least to not have to answer any Q?s.

H!

He's been in place for two years or so and presided over the dismantling of FEMA's operational capability. The big mistake he made was still being in place when the US's worst ever natural disaster struck. He was fired from his previous job (president of the arabian horse club) because he spent too much time canvassing for George W.

We could call you "old fashioned," but we would never be able to call you "elected."

That's funny, neither was Bush the first time around... and barely the second time around.

The federal official in charge of the bungled New Orleans rescue was fired from his last private-sector job overseeing horse shows.

And before joining the Federal Emergency Management Agency as a deputy director in 2001, GOP activist Mike Brown had no significant experience that would have qualified him for the position.

The Oklahoman got the job through an old college friend who at the time was heading up FEMA.

The agency, run by Brown since 2003, is now at the center of a growing fury over the handling of the New Orleans disaster.

``I look at FEMA and I shake my head,'' said a furious Gov. Mitt Romney yesterday, calling the response ``an embarrassment.''
.........whoever called Bush a moron is doing the moron community a disservice
