I once recieved a burger from the presitigous parry sound macdonalds, with nothing on it, literally. (like in the good burger movie). It was a bun with ketchup on it....wierd eh? I shoved it back in their face and got another for free.

Unless a fast food place forgot to give me something, I never go back for any reason. I hate dealing with all the ignorant assholes that usually work there.

I don't find the people at most fast food restaurants to be particularly ignorant or mean or anything, they just sometimes mess up orders (I figure it must actually be sort of hard to work at a drive thru...they are taking orders and trying to get people's orders together all at the same time...so you can understand that there would be some mistakes). Mostly, they are fairly nice (bored and tired...but not mean usually).

I agree with "bored" but............no matter what you do you should take pride in it for your own sake and that means providing good customer service. The
customer doesn't care what your issues are.........what they remember is the bad service and they associate that with the server.

They need training in listening to the customer - then incorrect orders wouldn't happen from the servers part.

Cameo, a valid point. Take out orders from the drive through window has been the only time I have ever received a totally mixed up order. I can't see how a Big Mac could be misinterpreted into a McShark, since I do NOT like shark meat.

Don't eat at fast foods... McD's specially.

I have known many kids over the years who for the fun of it, would spit into the hamburgers (big mac burgers were easier to do and get away with because of the dressing added) and wrap it up for the customers. No one was to the wiser.

I would never eat at a place like that specially when the owner rarely is there and the management team is no older that the workers.

Ask how many of the kids who used to work at fast food places who dare eat there.

Do you think this is specific to fast food restaurants? At least McDonalds has the open kitchen concept. The threat of getting caught is much more than going to a regular restaurant where the potential to have much worse done to your food is higher.

The things I've witnessed or heard about from co-workers in kitchens that ranged from local pubs to your "classy" restaurant would make you gag (or worse.)

One such establishment in my home town in N.B., used to store ribeye steaks out in the open on the floor of the kitchen in bus-bins, usually under sinks or shelves, as they marinated... within inches of rat poison in some instances.

I could go on with examples from "classy" restaurants and others, as well... but I won't.
