Any Fellow Golfer out there belonging to Clublink?

Hi everyone, a friend of mine just joined Board of Trade. He was telling me the benefits of Clublink. Anyone has anything good or bad to say about being a member of Clublink?

i have a friend that belongs to clublink and he has taken me out a few times to play the various courses
i have found the course staff to be rude and impersonal, especially if you are NOT a member, the clublink golfers to be ignorant of rules/etiquette and are especially slow players
"we paid so we can play how we want" is the mantra

i am an avid golf and recently (two fridays ago) joined a course about 25 km away from home and have not regretted it one bit

the course is incredible and can play very difficult
whites = 6000 yd
blues = 6500 yd
golds = 7100

eg. of one hole, #12 from the golds plays 623 yd. with the landing area about 250 yd. from the tee and about 22 yd wide surrounded by marsh
how's that for "hit it long and straight", eh?

so that is a lot of choice for every level of golfer
greens are slick and undulating, usually run about 12 on the stimp

links style course, very challenging and rewarding and the wind almost always plays a factor

my cost to join for one year?
wait for it....

$1027 Cdn + $350 for year long power cart privileges
an absolute jewel of a course
every person i have taken there to play RAVES about it

in the end, clublink is far too expensive for what you get and there are still enough pay as you play courses around if you really like variety

ps - twilight fee after 3 pm = $35 w/ cart

guess where i am 3-4 afternoons / week?
