Some questions about Apple Store Toronto

Hi,

I'm a 18 year old student from Germay and I'll visit Toronto in july.
Since the new Apple Store at the Yorkdale Shopping Center opened some weeks ago and since I've been planning to switch for some months, I want to buy a Powerbook there.
Concerning this topic, I've still got some questions:
o Is it possible to configure a own system there? I'll probably buy some more RAM. Will I immediately get my individually configured Powerbook or do I have to wait some days/weeks until it's assembled?
o I'm currently visiting a Gymnasium (for those who don't understand German, it's something like a Highschool ). Therefore I've got a German student ID which gives me some rebates at cinemas etc. My question is: Can I use this (German!) student ID to certify that I'm a student to get the education rebate? Or do I have to be a Canadian citizen/student to get the education rebate?

Thanks in advance for your help,
phil

P.S.: Sorry for the bad english

The Applestore at Yorkdale will install RAM you buy there into the powerbook but you'll have to buy an "off the shelf" system. That's usually OK for a powerbook since they now come with Airport Extreme and Bluetooth built in. The only option for the 12 and 15" models is whether to buy a CDR/DVD or a Superdrive and they'll probably have both types. But you'll save money by buying your RAM elsewhere. It's trivial to insert into a powerbook. There's a little door on the underside held in by four tiny screws.

As for the education discount, I think you would need a Canadian university or college ID card. There is a web page for the Yorkdale store:

P.S. Your English puts ours to shame....

Dude, I would never have guessed in a million years that English was not your first language.
