I'm not going to name names in my reference to why I'm writing this but I wanted a place to inform people of a common behaviour on the boards that needs to be addressed.
Recently I was in the market for a product listed on the board. But having to sell my older version I waited for that to occur.
In the meantime the seller was getting motivated I guess and continued to update me in regards to items added to his listing. He also kept me in the loop as to the price changes.
In what must have been a last ditch effort to move the item he e-mailed me with an offer to sell at a lower price than what was listed on the board. I decided to take the offer.
I kept the seller informed exactly when I sold my older item and I asked to schedule a pickup day (as I am only in Toronto now when I work...) So we kept in contact and we're in the process of a time on an agreed day (was supposed to be today). But then Thursday evening he e-mails me and tells me he needs to move it the next day. A day he presumed I would be unable to pick it up. (Kinda like the un-invite off Seinfeld.) I really wanted the camera so I e-mailed him back saying I would travel to his area specifically for the item as I wanted it.
I have not heard back from him since. But I see that the item as sold assumable to someone else (and assumably at his slightly higher selling price.) I was really looking forward to this item and now it questions my faith in using this board.
I actually considered legal action as I believe I had a position where we had a binding agreement to do business. I would rather not bring [a member of] ehMac into such a position though and I decided against it.
Just wanted to vent a bit.

That really sucks you didn't have a good experience with a buyer. I feel really bad for you but I did want to address this comment:

Just a reminder of the disclaimer that everyone agrees to when registering to be a member of ehMac:
