Martha is to be sentenced tomorrow. The word is that she's be about town partying it up and she's ready for the sentence and to pay her debt to society.

Any bets on what she's getting?? She's been trying to lessen the blow for ever now, as they are asking in final arguments for mercy. Experts say 10-16 months. Could be much more, or nothing all together.

What's your call?

her sentence will seem "harsh" at first glance, but after 6-12 months, she'll be paroled

some crap like that

now if she had stolen a loaf of bread and this was her third strike and she was a black man - different story

She's being singled out to divert attention from the rest of the crooks in the game.

See " Stupid White Men " - the entire thing was a farce from day one.

Convenient excuse to go after "uppity wimmen"

This was from CNN:

Martha gets five months
Lifestyle diva also gets two years of supervised probation.
July 16, 2004: 10:27 AM EDT

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Martha Stewart was sentenced to five months in prison Friday.

Federal Judge Miriam Cedarbaum also ordered that Stewart get two years of supervised probation after she is released.

It was not immediately clear which prison Stewart would be heading to.

sentence:

5 months prison
5 months house arrest
2 yrs supervised probation
$30k fine.

Watching this live right now... She will be appealing with many arguments - 5 key ones apparently. A few cases of possible perjury. Will likely not be serving until 2005 (early to mid).

She made a quite spirited and defiant statement. Martha describes her persuit as extremely personal.

Martha will also - until further notice - have to wear the ankle bracelet during the monitored house arrest. That apparently sent ppl in court attendance gasping...

Larry King LIVE will be the only interview to be granted - Monday July 19th, 9pm.

She is such a coward. Hiding behind her fame and money. Why is it that people cannot just take responsibility for their actions. People with money seem to have a different justice or injustice system then the rest of us. She broke the law got caught and now she is going to fight and "clear her name". I just dont get it.
