Your point.?

The responses you’ve got indicate to me that your flogging a dead horse. The anti American diatribe that you enjoy has run it’s course.

Stinand, while macspectrum and I agree on certain issues, and disagree on other issues, and as an American citizen, I don't feel that he has launched into an anti-American "diatribe" with this posting. He has taken some "flak" in the past for stating his views, but I respect him for holding certain views and having the courage to present them in a public forum such as ehmac.ca

I'm inclined to agree with stiand that this is just part of macspectrum's continuing anti-American diatribe. After all, if macspectrum was actually concerned with Canadian citizens being murdered by foreigners, you'd think he would have said something about the Canadian journalist that was beaten to death in Iran.

I assume that macspectrum will eventually join this discussion once again. However, I don't see "click here" as a diatribe. He was simply providing us with a hyperlink to a Globe and Mail article.

stinand does not speak for others here .... most certainly not for the families of the honoured
Sergeant Marc Léger,
Private Richard Green,
Corporal Ainsworth Dyer,
Pte. Nathan Smith,
eight maimed Canadian soldiers
and all those so horrified at that act of criminal negligence.
He speaks only for himself .... and that's ok.

Dr. G, I don't think that Stinand or jfpoole are talking about this post in particular, I think there are speaking in terms of macspectrum's continuing diatribe. I mean, try and find a single post where macspectrum has said something positive about the US, or single thread he has started to do with the US that wasn't resoundingly negative.

PB, I shall let macspectrum take it from here. I am sure that when he chooses to come online once again, he shall have some things to say. We shall see.

I hope that the American pilots live the rest of their lives knowing that they murdered four Canadians and if they are caught crossing the border to Canada, they are arrested for War crimes (I am just kidding here, they would never be)

I would not categorize every American in this situation, but the American military did fail in its duties. Those pilots should hve been informed over and over again about the exercises. Also, the Canadians should have been equipped with the proper equipment to be in "communication" with the Americans...

Also, you have to realize that extreme power is giving to certain individuals in a War time situation. The pilots did have the last word about engaging the "enemy"...

RtC, what you say makes sense and takes a realistic view of this tragic situation. Hopefully, the memories of the killed and wounded Canadian soldiers shall not be forgotten in all of the media-hype on this issue. We shall see.
