Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, Minister of Truth, now has a blog!

OK, here?s the deal. Periodically, statues of Saddam are taken down for cleaning. We pull them down with crane, and pull them around on the ground to loosen the dirt and bird poo. This is what you are seeing today. Joyous crowds gather when we do this, as you can see. They throw their shoes at the statue, as a way of saying ?Thank you great Saddam, in your presence we are not worthy to wear shoes. Please have our shoes, they are no use to mere mortals like us. May the infidel invaders be squashed by our bare feet and drown in their own bile.? Very moving, yes? Then, happy children ride on statue, like big Grandpa. It is a festival atmosphere.

Anyone know what happened to this character...apparently he's not on the "playing card" most wanted list.

Maybe the US had him in it's employ confusing Saddma into thinking he was winning

Anyone catch the Vicky Clarke "disinformation" discussion on CNN today?
I didn't see it all but she had some good points about the difficulty the embedded reporters presented in trying to "disinform" the opposition.

The Minister of Information...also known as "Baghdad Bob" has become almost a cult figure among the US public. Sort of like Joe Isuzu, the smiling liar.

He's been featured on Saturday Night Live, and now has his own website. People love this guy cause he's sooo over the top. Outa control!

If he ever pops up in the States, he will be flooded with offers to appear on the late night TV shows. Can you imagine the bidding war between Letterman and Leno?

"So...Mohammed...what were you really thinking when you were saying all that stuff?" nudge nudge, wink wink.

He could even go on to be a third-tier has been and show up as a regular on Hollywood Squares or...perhaps....we might even see him hawking non-stick cookware on TV at four AM someday.

Hey...it beats getting scrambled by a stray JDAM aimed at the big boss.
