Parenting Fail at a Laundromat
Quote:
Couple put their baby in the machine to scare him but it turned out to be a bad idea as the machine had auto lock system and it took the child for a spin. The child suffered minor injuries and is safe.
Unreal. At first I thought it was a small dog ............ which is horrible ............ then when I saw it was a child I could not believe my eyes.

This weekend I saw a couple with their new one-day old infant lounging in the hot midday sun while the dad smoked three feet away. A real bunch of winners. I feel sorry for that wee one.
Oh, and the time I saw a mom rest the pacifier on the rim of a garbage can then pop it back into the baby's mouth. Class act.
In genetics we describe mutations that have consequences in the next generation as "maternal effects" (this never happens through the father, because the sperm contributes only a set of chromosomes and a centriole to the zygote). In such cases, a female that is affected (i.e. homozygous for the mutation in question) will be phenotypically normal, but her progeny will suffer the consequences of her bad genes, regardless of their own genotype.
It seems to me that bad parenting is the memetic equivalent of maternal effect mutations, except they can act through the father as well.
After watching it, I was thinking that someone needs to publicly tar and feather those two and the child taken away plus sterilize the two from
Procreating again. ( hence I support pro choice )
Amazing they got away
