This "Movember", the month formerly known as November I the Mayor, have decided to donate my handsome face to raising awareness about prostate cancer. My donation and commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of Movember, which I know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter. (I'll be sure to post photos!)
Im doing this because about 8 years ago, my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had to have major, evasive surgery to battle the disease, which thankfully allowed him to survive, but forever changed his life. He was blessed to make it. Unfortunately, 4,400 men die of prostate cancer in Canada each year and one in six men will be diagnosed during his lifetime.
This is a cause that I feel passionately about and Im asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to Prostate Cancer Canada.
* Write a cheque payable to Prostate Cancer Canada, referencing the team name "ehMac" or Registration Number 886610 and mailing it to: Prostate Cancer Canada, Suite 306 145 Front Street East, Toronto, ON M5A 1E3, Canada.
All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
I already have full facial hair so I'm all set. One of my brother-in-laws has been going through bouts with prostate cancer, so I'm already involved, but I'll make a donation to team ehMac.

Freddy... I've grown a stache before and... it don't look pretty. I think that's partly why this is such a neat cause to raise awareness... I know for sure I'll be getting lots of comments over the next 30 days which will lead to an explanation. Should be fun as my facial hair grows really fast.

Almost bummed (no pun intended) that I have a goat and 3-5 day stubble usually.. I would join the team and gladly do something to support men's health. Instead I'll just donate. Forgive the 6-8 day delay with paypal... It keeps asking me if I want to link my debit card, which I do, then only will let me put in a credit card, which I don't have. *sigh*
