Woot! That's great CM!
Only 2707 of 4000 free loans still available as of a few seconds ago.
They probably won't last the day...

Hey CM, I just reread your last word... Loans of our own money are not donations (unless you specifically designate them as such)..the loans are repaid to the loaners account. Then the loaner has the option of withdrawing his or her funds from their KIVA account or re-loaning it.
I keep loaning the same money over and over.

Just checked. All 4000 free loans have been claimed.
Wow! Great response for KIVA. I hope they do this promotion again.

It absolutely will make a difference Demsey! Welcome to the eh Team!
In response to the great demand, Kiva released another 4000 opportunities this morning...but, already, there is only ~1400 left!

Thanks, Dempsey! What was required of you to complete the loan?

Just completed another loan - This time to a fruit vendor in Senegal. Feels like good karma to me.

I'm on loan #75. Repayments have been excellent! I really have the feeling that this is good use of my money, as opposed to donations to organizations. Or to local street panhandlers.
