Did you know ...

Canadians have one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis in the world.
MS is the most common neurological disease affecting young adults in Canada.
Every day, three more people in Canada are diagnosed with MS.
Women are more than three times as likely to develop MS as men.
MS can cause loss of balance, impaired speech, extreme fatigue, double vision and paralysis.
MS was first identified and described by a French neurologist, Dr. Jean-Martin Charcot, in 1868.
We don't know what causes MS but researchers are closer to finding the answer.

Mr. Mayor, each year since 1991, on Sept. 25th, the day my mother died of MS, I donate $100 in her name to the MS Society here in Canada. This year, I sent this donation in your team pledge.

If our honorable Mayor's pledge drive does not reach at least $1000 by sundown on Sunday, I shall send one of my doxie pups to her doom at Dr. Dworkis' Dungeon of Doxies. Here is a pic of the sweet face that will meet her horrible fate if more of you don't pledge. Remember, no pledge is too small to save this little pup ............ or to save someone from MS.

Mr. Mayor, I assume we can pledge more than once? After the aforementioned offer/threat, I feel that I am not sure if I could part with Tootsie. Take a look at that face and you shall see what I mean. We shall see.

That is very touching Dr. G!

My wife and I know of a few people touched by MS, but do not know anyone really close.

As an appreciation to your support, my wife and I and our 3 kids will dedicate our ride to her honour.

I am sure my mother would be proud of what you and your family are doing. My mother taught me to ride a bike, so it is altogether fitting and proper that she might be remembered in this way.
