Hello,
I'd like to update my late 2008 Macbook HD from 160gb to something like 1TB or a bit less.
Any recommendations on where to purchase it? like TigerDirect?
Any specific brand I should get, and ones to avoid?
and it should be a Serial ATA drive, correct?
ANDD... HOW THE HELL CAN I GET MY OS X INSTALLED ON IT!!!!
because I have an external HD with my backups on it, it will be easy to get all of my information onto the new drive, but is there any way I can use that drive to somehow get the os x software onto the new drive? or will I have to do some step by step process with extra components that I will have to purchase?
First time trying to find a HD instead of buying a new mac, so anything would be extremely helpful.
thanks
