One of the calendars I use is a corporate exchange account. It is only available to me via the company's network. Which is to say, my iPhone does not have access to this network.

But my Macbook does. Is there a way I can have my corporate exchange calendar synced to my iPhone ?

I have iCloud turned on and all my calendars appear, except the corporate exchange calendar.

Try adding an Exchange email account to your iPhone, it is an option. Then see if Calendars is an option to enable once it verifies your account setup.

I am a little confused. The corporate credentials will most certainly not work on my iPhone as the corporate exchange server is only available on the company's network, or via a VPN, of which I do not have access. Therefore my iPhone will never be able to see that exchange server.

So the only solution I see possible is to sync this using iCloud via my Macbook (which is sometimes on the corporate network).

Corporate Exchange->Macbook->iCloud->iPhone

Does that make sense or am I completely not understanding you ?

No one in your company is accessing email, calendars on exchange via a mobile device ie. blackberry?

I would talk to your IT dept. They should be able to help you.

However, if they don't support it, then creating a work-around is breaking company policy most likely and I would be wary of doing so.

If network access is limited to VPN and company-issued equipment like laptops, then they do not want you accessing information on anything else.

First, +100 with checking with IT and company policies.

Second, how often do you need the calendar sync-ed? If it's just a matter of wanting to see your work calendar on your iPhone over the weekend, you could always export the work calendar to an .ics EOD Friday and then import that .ics to an iCloud sync-ing calendar... I read, some time ago (MobileMe launch era) about a project to automate this task, don't know what happened to that, and a 30s Google didn't reveal anything, but, assuming you ARE allowed to do this without getting fired, that might be the avenue to pursue looking at.

What I do with our office environment (personal devices are a big no no on our network, and no external access to the exchange server) is forward my calander appointments to my personal gmail account ( gmail then automatically adds these to my google calandar) which I can access on my phone.

That would still appear to violate the intention of the policy, if not the letter. May want to be careful with that.

Thanks for all the replies..

I'm really just looking for read only access to my calendar on my Phone.. I have meetings in 4 buildings and each building is 30 or so floors.. So the problem for me is leave one meeting, then try and figure out where the next meeting is while on the elevator.. Not to mention when getting up trying to figure out what building I should be going to..

Most consultants here bring their own laptops and we access the corporate network via our laptops. So having company data on personal devices isn't an issue. I think it's more of an issue of giving people access to the corporate network from outside the corporation..

I had it working via iTunes but I appear to have screwed something up. I'm about to give up on this.

30 years of computing and we still can't easily sync all our calendars. Crazy eh ?

There's a nice notes app in your phone which should work just fine for that....
