Incoming iMessages show up without issue as does messaging history, but most of the time when i try to send a message from Messages on my iMac it doesn't go through. Anyone else experiencing this??

I just hate how if you don't always have it open or if your mac isn't always on all 10,000 messages load at once and that gets annoying. And the red circular number stays there until you do a restart.

That is kind of annoying, isn;t it?

In the end uninstalling and re-installing it seems to have fixed the issue.

Are you addressing myself, or the original poster? If I uninstall it and re-install it, it would stop loading all the messages at once? Right now I just have it disabled because it has just been annoying.

I've been playing with it since it was first announced, but I'm done with it for now.

My experience has been that it worked BRILLIANTLY for days or weeks on end, and then suddenly launches with no ability to open any windows, or preferences, and claims I have no accounts. This has happened three times and the only fix is the (mercifully built-in) uninstall-and-revert-to-iChat option.

I'll try it again if it gets a second beta, and I've reported the problem (though there's no logs to indicate an issue).
