I want a used or refurb ipad2 for my wife. She will use it for email, web, skype, ebooks. Where do I find one for good price? If its used, what to be careful about?

Hi Raven,

Apple's refurb site appears to have 1st generation only, but that may change. I would keep checking it.

I think their refurbs are only $50 off the normal price and with the new iPad coming out, the iPad2s are now $419.
Apple iPad - New iPad and iPad 2 with Free Shipping - Apple Store (Canada) (http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad)

Or look here on the classifieds. I see some folks are selling their iPad 2s.

Good luck,
Keebler

I bought my ipad 1 off kijiji. I bought it only 2 weeks old though, and still working as we speaking (actually using it right now to type this).

Me personally, i like to buy things with the factory warranty still intact. Otherwise, if it breaks the next day, or you find something doesn't function like it should, you're pretty much SOL.

If you look hard enough, you can probably find a relatively new ipad with warranty still intact. To check the warranty status of any apple product, you just need the serial number. Then go to the following site and enter the serial number.

I bought an iPad 2 from the Apple Refurb site a couple of weeks ago. At the time they almost had the whole range of the 2's.

Here is the pricing...

Wi-Fi Only

16 - $369
32 - $469
64 - $569

Wi-Fi + 3G

16 - $499
32 - $599
64 - $699

All come with the full one year warranty from Apple. Taxes extra.
Keep checking in. One minute they don't have a thing, the next they're stocked full!
