When I try to update some apps on my iPhone, when I go to enter my password it has a wrong username/email address. I changed it according to instructions, and also did so on my computer for iCloud. Still it shows the old username.
Running latest OS on my iPhone
Any suggestions??
Thanks

That shows the correct username. When in the App though it shows the incorrect one. Have tried re-starting the iPhone, no change.

redownload the app using your new account. If you click on Apps in iTunes and "get info" on any app you will see what account was used to download that app. It will always use that account when doing updates. I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Did you decide to change your apple ID to a different email or something?

When I went to update my apps this morning it wouldn't work, said my account had been disabled and I had to set a new password. I did that and it still doesn't work. My username was a different address than my me.com address so I changed it all my usernames to my me.com address but the Apps Store app still shows the old address. Don't know if I can download the Apps Store app again as it is one of the base non-delete-able apps. I'll see what I can do.
Update: Can't find the get info feature....
Thanks..

Any apps and music purchased with an old iTunes account are still associated with the old account.

The Apps store app was not purchased. It is one of the built in apps that comes with the iPhone, and as such cannot be deleted or purchased to my knowledge.

I understand now. It was the apps I was trying to update that were causing the problem. (dona83 got me thinking on the right track) I deleted those apps and reinstalled THEM and the correct username appeared in the update dialogue. Those were free apps.
What will happen when I go to update an app I have previously purchased?? How can I get around that?
Thanks again...

Well many others like you who have multiple apple id's Apple does not allow you to merge those 2 accounts. So I think you will have to sign out and then sign in with the account those app purchases are associated with. Which I think you find yourself annoyed with real quick. Which might force you to re-purchase those apps with your new account. Or call Apple iTunes and see what they can do if anything.
