Hi

I have an IPhone 4, a buddy of mine has an iPhone 3GS he is in love with the curve and how it feels in his hand.

With the iPhone 5 release nearing are you hoping for a curve comeback?

Do you like the curve?

Nope. Never liked the 3GS design, and was glad to be rid of it.

I also preferred the 3GS' ergonomics. I like the one fan iPhone 5 concept with the magic mouse like back.

I have to note though that I've dropped my iPhone 4 less often than my old 3GS and Treo 6xxs. I think the flat sides allow for better support, even if it is a bit less comfortable to hold.

I thought I liked the 3GS more but then I got an iPhone 4 and I really like the sharp edges better.

Not sure if its sexy, but I also prefer a bit of a curve on the phone

3GS was unstable and hard to hold or set down. Also fell off belt holder designs much more easily. The new design is far superior.

The 3G/3GS was more comfortable held up to my ear. The sharper edges of the current design are uncomfortable.

I think a compromise between the two would be ideal.

I like imagining the sexy curves of Siri on my iPhone 4S better.

I much prefer the iPhone 4/4S design to the 3/3GS design, never really liked the curved back, always felt far too easy to drop to me.

Having used both phones religiously I can affirm the 3GS is the device of gods. It can be dropped from shoulder height with minimal damage, launched across the street while ripping up the pavement and after all that still feel as soft as a woman's touch. The 4 and 4S are fine pieces of tech but awkward to hold and shatters on contact with foreign objects. Your friend is wise Clive. Not everyone can think objectively and see through Apples marketing gimmicks. As for stats, the 3GS has a higher customer satisfaction rating than any other Apples phone. Suck on them Apples.

You are far too attached to the 3GS. You need to get out more often.

yeah, I like the teardrop concept shape..

Dont like the "square" feel of the iphone. Already smashed the backglass once.. so with a case it feels even worse. I saw the Galaxy 2S recently. I like the screen/size. Wouldn't want the New iPhone to be any bigger than that

Add me to the iPhone 4 camp. I love the flat surfaces (the back is perfect for skins... much better than the 3GS), the metal/glass construction seems much more "upscale", classy and solid feeling to me. Not that I ever hated the 3GS, it was perfectly fine. But in comparison, the 4(s) style is leagues above it.

Having had my 4s since Christmas, I still just look at it in awe. It has to be one of the most beautiful designed phones I have ever saw. I have actually given thought to taking it apart when I'm done with it and assemble it in an "exploded" view under a glass case.

My wife thinks I'm nuts.
