: mouse and keyboard super slow to respond...on internet

Hi,

This is driving me crazy. I keep getting

1. the spinning disk,
2. text isn't always showing up as I type but stops responding and then zoom, what I just typed shows up,
3. and my mouse scrolling is slow to respond

....all while on the internet.

I'm using Firefox 10.0.2 (it had to think about whether it would open the "about"). I'm wondering if this is from my recent upgrade?? I was working with Firefox 3.? (I think that's what I had....grr...even arrow keys get the spinning disc! I was going back to fix a typo)

(I think it's not happening with Safari)

I've used Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner to try to fix things. Is this version of Firefox my problem?? Have or are others having the same problem?

Any help is appreciated!

I'm thinking it's Firefox that is the problem. I've moved over into Safari and it seems fine...mostly. I did get the spinning ball once, though not sure why. There is no lag in my typing and the mouse is scrolling fine. What's up with Firefox? Anyone?

my firefox is fine. It is also fine on my mini. BUT.. firefox uses a large amount of ram. My mini only has 2gb ram (maxed) so i moved over to safari to free up some ram.

When was the last time your restarted or shut down and booted up??

Or maybe better yet, do a cold boot into Safe Boot Mode, and after logging in, just restart. That often clears up a lot of goofy quirky stuff.

This happened to me briefly before the last Firefox upgrade. All fine now. Currently running 11 Beta.
