For some reason today when I do postings in ehMac, Brand names like NIkon and iPads become links to EBay. Am I causing this? Tried retyping over in edit but that doesn't work.

I'm using Safari. Oddly I don't see the links now as you guys.:confused:
Never had the problem before it was just that one day. Thought maybe the created links was an intrusion on the website and should be reported.

My faulty memory whispers that there was a web browser plug in or search bar installer with the "feature" of making keywords into links to advertising sites. I call that Permission-malware because it is usually attached to something that you install that you thought was a good thing.

+1, I remember that... can't remember the name though. Community Toolbar, or something along those lines.

One of the software tools I use has a feature that looks for these types of keywords and ads an affiliate link to monetize sales to that link. I turn it off, but every time I update the software, it defaults to being back on. I think it temporarily was on for a few hours.

While from a publisher standpoint, it certainly is "interesting" technology, as a user, I find it annoying, irrelevant, and sort of sneaky. I have no plans to implement it.
