Not sure if this MBP that I recently bought ever had been updated with the latest firmware update. According to Apple, the last update should bring the Boot ROM Version to MBP71.0039.B0B. My Boot ROM Version is MBP71.0039.B0E. How can I tell if I have the latest? All Software Update shows me is Canon Printer stuff. Just wondering why by Boot ROM Version may be different and also, my display gave me some interesting colours (as in my other post and this is apparently what the update fixes) but that may have been due to a loose cable.

Download the MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.0 and run it. If it figures that it's already installed and not needed, it will tell you so.

Got "This software is not supported on your system." Does this mean it's already been updated?

Run Software Update. If nothing shows, you're up to date.
