Just got a new iMac (first one) and I can't get my custom "tones" from iTunes on my laptop to iTunes on my iMac. They show up under Tones on the laptop but when I do Home Sharing, even though I have checked Share My Library, they do not show up on the iMac. They are not even visible when I click on my laptop under "shared" in iTunes.

I cannot figure out a way to even copy them off of my laptop onto a USB because I can't find them in any drive.

Is there a solution without recreating the ringtones again? I still have the music under purchased.

Thanks.

Do they shop up in purchased items. If so you can redownload'em on iMac.

If it was me, I would open iTunes, then Ringtones, and drag them onto the desktop of the laptop. Then plug in a USB drive and drag them onto it from the desktop. (Yes, I know that is an extra step, but it often help new users understand how the transition works.) Unmount the USB drive and plug it into the iMac. Then open iTunes on the iMac, select tones (or music if there are no tones) and then under the edit file, select 'add to library'. The ringtones should import from the USB drive to your iTunes library under ringtones and you are done.
