I think because the price the OP is asking is so close to that of the product available as refurb he is reminding people that even with the savings on a refurb by buying his iPad they would still be saving the taxes... at least that is my take on it.

Like I said close to the price of a refurb ($16 difference)... but without tax there is still a savings involved buying the OP's iPad... I'm not advocating it just saying I think I understand why he said there is no tax involved...

Yah well price policing is frowned upon here (been guilty myself and suffered the consequences), so while I agree with your good luck sentiments that is all I am going to say on the subject. ;)
