Was not sure where to put this.
Been gradually getting a handle on NetFlix HD feed and generally am happy with the quality on MacBook Pro with the hiDef resolution 1680 x 1050 - BBCs Wild China series looked good but it's not mapped 1:1 on the pixels so some artifacting.
If I try it on the 27" Cinema downstairs it's also not 1:1 in the opposite direction at full screen viewing...
Wondered if there was a way to actually determine the 1920x1080 1:1 chunk of the 27".
Apple refers to having 77% of the screen real estate left on the Cinema when viewing HiDef.....that does not seem correct either
There are 3.68 million pixels on the Cinema and 1080P is 2.07 million ...1920x1080
I'd love to have a browser window that would snap to an HD format giving me the correct 1:1 mapping and a sharp image.
The iPad with it's very high pixel count smooths things but that's not a big enough screen to enjoy HD.
The Laptop is and the 27" certainly is but not getting 1:1 on the 27" is frustrating.
Would be great to be able to watch in correct HD on the 27" while still working on the laptop.
The 27" is just a treat for letting travel photos roll through in random order...it's really bright and crisp and makes the higher megapixel images really vivid and bright.
If I could get the HD as crisp I'd almost lose the 50" DLP for movies..
Any tips???
Biggest issue is trying to get the HD feed into the correct size window - ideally with no bars or borders.
Is there any method other than a browser to access Netflix on a lappie??
I understand you can download movies from Netflix for watching later on the same device.
Is that true???
