Unfortunately this one (a ruby) was chosen for its aesthetic appeal and gemological qualities rather than its scientific value. So I know what country it's from, but not the precise mine.
Actually I think the formally appropriate thing to say to a new bride or bride to be is Best Wishes, at least that is what I was told when I was brought up to be correct.
Apparently the reason being that if you say congratulations to the bride it is like suggesting that "whew glad you finally were able to get someone". But you say congrats to the groom because they were so lucky to catch such a beautiful bride.
But how about if you count starting from the pinky? It's not the finger were thinking of. Hmmm. Is there a rule from which finger to start counting? :lmao:
The anatomical term for that finger is digitus IV, or more appropriately in this context digitus annulus. But whatever. It's great that you're happy, and I wish you all the best.
