Having real challenges with using the mouse in this game.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I found I had to play around with the mouse sensitivity sliders in preferences. For some reason I had to turn both sliders down, and the horizontal a bit more than the vertical. Not sure why, but no doubt one brand of mouse is a bit different from another. I have a Razer Death Adder gaming mouse.

Downloaded Durandal and Infinity - took a quick look last evening. Ooh.

I too found the mouse horrible but you should be able to settle it down through pref adjustments. The original version was like that too, way back when.

I hope the Vidmaster Challenge is intact at the end of Infinity.

In the last 20 years, this is the only game I ever bought to play on my Mac. I got all three iterations, and was totally enthralled. One day, I remember playing Infinity for 23 hours non-stop. Nothing to eat or drink, and no bathroom breaks. Just cigarettes and adrenaline.

Unfortunately, too much of this kind fun resulted in carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand. And now I find out I can relive all those OCD highs in OS X? Resist! Resist!

Gotta say, they've done a terrific job with this. Plays exactly as you remember, and though it's relatively crude looking by today's standards, the updated textures etc. are decent even when it's set to full screen. And so far there's been none of the bugginess that I saw with earlier versions of Aleph One / Marathon on my Power Mac a few years ago (flickering / disappearing sprites and scrambled textures etc.).

I played it for about a half an hour the other day. Was very nostalgic and brought back a lot of memories.

But now it (and video games in general) just feel like a lot of effort without any tangible reward. :o

Don't think I'll be going through all three levels this time around.
