I have a WiebeTech Touch Tech Mini with 2 FW 800 and 1 eSata connections. Just now, the drive will not fire up under bus power on my MacBook but only when the ac adapter is connected. I tried to bus fire it up with my sons MacBook Pro (with true FW800 ports with no success. I've had this problem on occasion in the past. I rebooted my MacBook which I believe succeeded in times past. Not now. Can FW ports change in the amount of power they're delivering? Or is it my enclosure that's the issue?
