I didn't want to be the first to point this out lest the appellation of "price police" be applied... but I absolutely agree.

In the case where the re-sale price exceeds the current retail price, I think mentioning it is a favour to the OP.

However $519 plus HST for an Ontario purchase would calculate out to be $586. Depending on whether the OP is including the price of shipping, $600 is a fair and reasonable price to ask. My guess is that they are simply looking to recoup their original investment.

What kind of warranty is being offered with the price of shipping (which isn't being offered) but is being offered FREE by Apple?

Everybody wants to recoup their original investment. Guess what? It's USED!!!!!
