The new iMacs are tempting but Id need to sell my existing monitor first to justify it.

What might the going rate for a 30" Samsung LCD monitor? It runs at a 2560x1600 resolution. more specs can be found here (http://www.trustedreviews.com/Samsung-SyncMaster-305T-30in-Monitor_Monitor_review)

I'd have to check but Im pretty sure there's still some Futureshop service plan on it. (dont laugh, I got it thrown in on an Open-box unit)

I'd be looking for a local deal since it'd be a pain to ship.

Given the extremely high failure rate on these are probably not worth all that much. They have a pretty short shelf life and Samsung is unable to repair most and unable to replace any (they haven't had stock in a couple years). I fought a 6 month uphill battle to get warranty service that finally ended up in getting a check from them for the full price I paid to purchase it, but ... I spent (literally) over 20 hours on the phone to do so and in the end had to threaten legal action to finally get the cheque cut that they had been promising for months.

Sorry to be a spoiler but I think it's pretty important to be fair about pricing given the issues this model has.
