I keep getting a pop up every few minutes at a time telling me that AppHostinfoUpdater has quit unexpectedly and needs to be restarted or reported. I have no idea what that is and can't find it in the apps or through spotlight. Does anyone know what this is or how to got rid of it. It happens a number of times and I click either restart or OK and it continues to pop up and then for whatever reason, it stays behind on the desk and doesn't show itself for a while, and then pops up again. It is very annoying! Thanks for any assistance.

Do you have a "LexMark" printer installed?
A google search for AppHostinfoUpdater brings up issues with LexMark.

Yes, I just installed a Lexmark about a month ago. It wasn't doing this when it was first installed. Thanks for the link. Should I call Lexmark about it. Is it a lexmark app?

Sorry I can't be of more help, but the the google search for AppHostinfoUpdater (http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1006&bih=894&q=AppHostinfoUpdater&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=AppHostinfoUpdater&fp=e5d976427f0b2c23) turns up many links to the problem, but none for a solution.
And as I do not have a LexMark myself I have no ideas, hopefully someone else on this forum will be able to help you.
