Looked at this one today:

Used 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT For Sale | Saskatoon SK (http://www.dodgecityautodealer.com/used/Dodge/2008-Dodge-Grand+Caravan-067fd948404638bf0060c384f63e9ec5.htm)

Got the lowdown, gave it a test drive (liked it), and despite the uncoolness of mini-vans I'm a diehard mini-van fan. They're just so multi-functional. The Swiss Army Knife of vehicles IMO. Currently drive a '95 Chev Lumina APV. It's been a good vehicle even though a lit match throws off more heat in cold weather (been really enjoying that the past few weeks ).

So what do the experts here think as far as the price? If my wife and I go for it should I offer a lower price? How low? What other questions should I ask? As you may have guessed by now this is not my area of expertise. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the price differential between here and Sask, but that price seems high for here.

2010 advert:

2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SE - Autopark Superstore (http://www.autopark.ca/5/1334/2010-dodge-grand-caravan-se.html)

And it is an SE

Been many years since I owned a Caravan. I had a stick but I remember that Chryco had a lot of problems with the four speed automatics and they did not stop when they changed the name and added computer control. Had a friend that had one repaired/replaced three times under warranty. Last time it went he sprang for the AAMCO lifetime warranty.

I'm in Toronto, I bought the 25 anniversary edition Grand Caravan (SE) for that price brand new just over a year ago.

The sxt you're looking at has a few more features, power seats for one, (powered gate and side doors?) but is it worth it?

I do agree with you about mini-vans being a swiss army knife. :D I've picked up 400 kilos of label stock, dropped it back at the shop, and then popped up the seats to take the family to the conservation area with the dog.

Good luck with your purchase!

Be sure to check out the rear window controls. Can you work them by feel? Are they hidden behind the steering wheel? When you need these puppies, driving conditions are usually far too crappy to want to take your eyes off the road.

These do change every coupla years, they were awful on some and OK on others.
