In order to get full Applecare with phone support, must be activated before end of 3 months of purchase. So if it does not have extended Applecare and is past the three month date of purchase, it is of less value to me. You can check your warranty here https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do


i think you still get full phone support with applecare even if it's added after 3 months.....it's just that you wouldn't get that coverage in the time after 3 months to the day the owner added the extended applecare.(which shouldn't matter to you as you'd be the owner after anyways)
