BlueMax Dec 4th, 2010, 01:36 AM If you were local, I'd go for it.... my 1st mac is this G4 lampshade... the 20" would be even better in my kitchen! Maybe I'll become a full convert yet. ;)
pm-r Dec 4th, 2010, 02:07 AM Hmmm... not exactly compatible Macs if you were looking for any useable parts and a 20" G5 in a kitchen may be a bit of overkill unless you have a huge Calgary type kitchen. ;-)
I could always ship it with our son that sometimes visits with his family and truck who lives in Okotoks.
And like so many Albertans, he also drives a large truck (for work) and I guess some actually use a sedan or at least a mid-size SUV as his wife uses or maybe a smaller hatchback there. But they sure seem to like their big trucks. ;-)

pm-r Dec 8th, 2010, 02:30 PM Well one reason I can think of to not to get it - it doesn't work!!!
No startup chime, a minute or two later the power light comes on, screen stays black and another minute or two the fans come on almost full blast and still a black screen.
Not worth fixing IHMO but maybe someone could use any working parts.
