Brand new top of the line Macbook Pro 17' ANTI-GLARE notebook, purchased Nov. 18th (ie two days ago as of this posting) from the Apple Store. Opened to install software, absolutely new, not a scratch. Receipt and method of payment attached.

17" 2.53ghz/i5/4GB/500GB. Latest greatest model.

I'm selling it for two reasons:

I bought this big boy to do video editing but was horrified to find out that there is no way of changing the size of the type in the OS, which on this screen is crazy small. I am already losing my vision and compared to my 15" MBPro the type is ridiculously small. Many people have complained about this, and sadly I didn't read the stuff before I took the plunge. I'm 46 and it's driving me bananas. Old eyes. :(

Secondarily, when I migrated my data from my 15", I was pulling my hair out with all the problems. When I went on the Apple discussions forum and noticed I was not alone, I just got really pissed off and now I want the whole thing out of my life. I can't believe Apple hasn't bothered to make migration a priority when it's so important to people buying NEW computers.

Anyway, rant over. It's a sales thread, not a rally, as Bill Maher would say :)

With tax, I paid 3191.97. Will take the $282 hit Apple will charge me to return it (you would have until Dec 02 to return it and get your money back less the $282.20 penalty.)

My home is at Pape and Danforth.

So price is $2900. Cash or certified cheque. No Paypal, no shipping.

It's totally up to you, but I have not once been hit with a restocking fee from Apple. I had to return an 11" MBA for the same reason (crazy high-rez on a tiny screen) and I didn't even have to say anything or raise any stink - they refunded every last penny.

If I were you, I'd take it back to Apple and get my $3191.97 back. :D

Use TinkerTool (http://www.bresink.com/osx/TinkerTool.html) to adjust the system fonts and Migration Assistant to move your data.

Alternately, return to Apple, it's unlikely they'll charge the 10% restocking, I've never been charged (and once even returned a week over the return by date).
