I have a 2006 Apple 15" Macbook Pro. This is the the first generation of the Macbook Pro, and it has seen a lot of use, and it shows a lot of wear and tear.

It does still work, but it has quite a few issues. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY! I don't mind answering questions, but to save both of our time please READ THE INFORMATION BELOW to comprehend the issues this macbook pro has and understand why I'm asking only $180.


- minor dings and scratches around case.

-the LCD Screen shows signs of age, with whiter and gray spots on screen.

- some keys show signs of wear. E,A,S,C & M and worn, but still legible. The N key has the letter totally worn off. (the keys still function, I'm just talking about the marking on the key itself)

- the right fan on occasion gets a bit noisy.


-the major problems:

- is it sometimes restarts or shuts down when it's moved. Not sure why. Generally if it's stationary it's stable.

- It sometimes has trouble starting up. I think there is a problem with the SMC chip. From a cold start up it might need to have the SMC reset or pram reset to start up. It also has trouble waking from sleep. Again i think this is related to the SMC chip.

Other than the above it seems to be fine. the USB works, firewire works, airport works, bluetooth works, illuminated keyboard works, trackpad works...etc....


Here are the specs : 1.83ghz core duo, 1GB ram, 40gb HDD, ATI X1600 128MB VRAM.

I still have the original installation discs, but no box. 10.6.4 snow leopard is installed (latest OS) but i'm not including that disc.

I AM NOT INCLUDING A BATTERY OR POWER SUPPLY. I need them for my other Macbook Pro. I can show you the macbook pro operating with them, but i can't give you either of them.
