Don't know if this was ever posted, but I'm getting really unhappy with browsing ehmac on my iPhone. I'd be shocked if I was the first to bring this up. Is there a reader that has the plugin enabled for it? Any suggestions? I tried searching for this thread but didn't find an existing one.

A mobile skin was supposed to happen by the end of last year, as you can tell, hasn't happened yet. I'd love to see an iPhone skin for this forum... A number of other forums I am a part of already have them, and it's really nice!

I consider myself an adept iPhone user with extremely good eyesight and yet, I'm constantly frustrated by the zooming in, clicking, zooming out to read, slow to scroll, mis-clicked page numbers every time I just want to come up to speed on a thread quickly. I don't need 99% of what's on a page just to read a thread an yet every full loaded ehmac page is a minefield of links when you are scrolling through quickly or while (for example) on a bus.

I find myself using ehmac much less these days since I do so much browsing on the iphone.

Anyways, thanks G-Mo for answering my question. Guess I'll just have to wait patiently to see what ehmax comes up with... But I am interested in a mobile solution. Definitely.

I really want an optimized version of ehMac for the iPhone too.

Over the past 6 months, I have been in talks with partnering with another organization to do some exciting things. I wanted it written in the contract, a firm date where there would be an optimized version of the site for the iPhone. Similar to like Appleinsider.com, which I really like.

I wasn't successful in getting that in the contract, and with some other issues, negotiations have stalled and as of now, will most likely not be going that route. I could probably make a fair bit of money going that route, but I don't want to do that at the expense of have a lesser quality site.

Looking at vBulletin 4 again and have been researching options but haven't found anything I'm terribly excited about.

Don't have any real estimated time except to say that someday in the future, there will be an optimized version of ehMac.

i looked at vb 4 too, it seems like a lot of work for, not much payback. And it's still pretty young.

It's been a while since hacking up a vb template, but, isn't it just a matter of creating a theme that positions things a little better so it's readable? I wonder if anyone's hacked one up already to snag and retool.

Do the iPhone skins, the touchBB require vbulletin 4, or would they work with vbulletin 3.7.x? Does touchBB require serverside? I would really like this feature too. I would much prefer touchBB over just an iphone theme.
