Hey Guys,

Going to get a new i5/i7 macbook pro. Would like a honest price check on mine. Looking for a fair price for both parties. Mac2Sell says $850. Curious of thoughts on that. Some people say it's low, and mine also has applecare.

15 inch macbook pro (3,1)
2.2 Ghz Santa Rosa
2Gb Ram (2x 1Gb)
120 GB HD
GeForce 8600M GT
No dead pixels.
Battery is 70% with 264 cycles.
With Apple care! Good until Jan 16th 2011.

50-70% of the time is sitting at my desk, plugged in, driving my external 24" monitor with separate keyboard and mouse, so it's got low use on it physically. Typical good shape for a 2 year old machine.

Also have a nice Crumpler bag I could include ($100 new).

Here's the link. I'd appriciate honest thoughts.

Thanks,

I'd list it for ~$1100-1200 and work from there. $1200 you might have to hold out, $1100 and below ($1050?), should get you some action pretty quickly! I'd expect about $1000. I saw a similar machine on my local CL recently with more RAM (4GB) listed at $950. Your battery % isn't going to do you any favours either, unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. I thought mac2sell might be a bit low. I'd
of course like more considering what it cost 2 years ago, bur cest la vie. I'd be happy with $1000 if it's fair for both. I'll probably list it in a week or two.

Thanks
Nick
