I have listed my websites on this site. Hey Ehmax you should do it also.

Macrank (http://www.macrank.com)

How could MacCritic possibly be number one? This is the least impressive Mac site I have ever seen. Looks flashy, but with zero content.

I just went to that site for the first time, having never heard of it before. Not a single news story on the front page was newer than 15 Dec. (Five days ago!) And the front page has a link to a news story that was posted in Dec 2003!?!

I slummed thru the reviews sections. Most of the products listed weren't even reviewed, but just existed as placeholders in case someone decides to do one. There are no reviews at all of any of the Apple desktops, the iBooks, or any Pro Applications. There are a grand total of 42 reviews in the entire software section. There are only 18 reviews in the hardware section, mostly of cheapo products like iPod accessories.

I have some serious doubts about this Macrank website. Where are the really popular sites, like Daring Fireball, or MacSurfer? And how could Digital Prototypes be #21 in the entire web world? I love that store (and I bought my Powerbook there), but the website of a little store in the west end of Toronto is #21? Give me a break. Certainly Carbon Computing would rank higher, though not even in the top 100 of a world wide ranking.

Macrank and MacCritic are clearly junk. And some who likes MacCritic has probably stuffed the ballots of Macrank to be at number one. Is there anyone here who thinks these two websites are worth anyone's time?

I second what you have to say mckenna. Some of the top 10 are pretty suspect. Spymac has a great community to be sure, but the site is a pain in the ass to navigate and is busy as hell (graphics content wise). I suspect it may be a list wherein ballot box stuffing is easy to do?

From what I understand the site is pretty new (only a few months old) When I first listed my site there there was only about 4-5 others listed. Once more sites get listed there will be less chance of ballot stuffing.

I think the webmaster has to get the site name out there more to have more people submit.

I think it is good to stumble across new websites every once and a while. I didn't find out about Ehmac till about a month ago and have been a Mac user for years.

Anyone else know any great sites?

MaCRANK may just be an unfortuante choice of name. :D

C'mon Macello. Admit it. You just laughed. :D
