Ok I know there is a line in jack on the MacBook pro models, but i had my iPhone headphones pluged in the headset jack and i did some testing, and the mic on the headphones works when using them in the MacBook. Even the volume control etc works the same as the iPod.

Is this documented and if i get an adapter, would standard headsets work by using hte headphone jack? I know the mic don't work when you use the PeeCee headsets out there with the analog jacks.

To be sure it was the mic on the headset, i just scratched the mic and watched the input in the system preferences.

Not sure if this was posted before but the quality is good compared to using the internal mic on the MacBook when using Skype or MSN voice.
