So I just noticed there's a small crack in the plastic between the chrome and silent switch. Is Apple still replacing iPhones with cracks? I wonder if they'll still have 16GB White ones in stock if/when I go into an Apple store (in CA)... since they only seem to be selling black 8GB ones of the 3G.

Is it still under warranty? If it is, then I assume they will replace it, as it broke through no fault of your own. If it's out of warranty then tough luck.

I noticed two cracks three months ago in my own phone. I love my phone, I opened the box and know everywhere it has been. It works perfectly and I could care less about a little fracture. Especially if I get a refurb in return where I have no idea where it has been. There are many, many stories about people trading their phone in for a new one without "cracks"...sometimes 2, 3, or 4 times. Learn to love!

Or get it replaced!

Cheers,

H

I just realized there might be a snafoo... I got AppleCare for it, by using an American address.. however, I didn't realize that by unlocking/jailbreaking it, I'm going to have a bit of a time figuring this out. I need to get it to a restored state, but it still needs to be unlocked, or else they're going to ask me why it's not active.

The only thing I can think of is maybe restoring it and taking it in without the SIM card, and if they ask I can just say it's in my backup phone, which is at home...
