For those who haven't seen it I'd recommend Bound For Glory. One of his best roles.

I almost always found his bad guy roles somewhat disturbing. They were in such stark contrast to the warm, fuzzy Caine that I cut my teeth on.

David Carradine "lived with Barbara Hershey from 1972-75 (she changed her last name to Seagull to during this time). They have a son they named Free Carradine at birth, but who has since changed his name to Tom Carradine."

Yes, tragic. I always felt he was a better actor that most of his roles gave him the opportunity to be. RIP.

I never watched him in his earlier roles but his role as Bill in Kill Bill Vol1 &2 was amazing. RIP.

As did I, Kps. His role in "The Grapes of Wrath" was his best role, in my opinion.

I'm still pi**ed that Bruce Lee didn't get the Kwai Chang role.

I'm surprised, MacDoc, that you can't see the difference between a thrilling ride on a fast motorcycle and hanging yourself in a closet for some kind of a sexual thrill, but hey, whatever floats your boat, man.
Being that it happened in Thailand I wouldn't be too surprised if pictures eventually surface on the internet.

They are BOTH risk behaviours done for personal pleasure and can end in death.

but i did enjoy the films he was in... I remember when i worked for a local apple dealer ( an era ago ) we sent a Mac tech to his house and the tech told me him and his wife answered the door in their wardrobes :) ( hung over too )

what is it with famous people, you get rich and famous and loose your clothes... ( i have some current clients - famous/rich same thing. - I started doing it now and my wife says 'your nor rich or famous' - i replied but i am comfortable :) - but i am not going to hang myself - plan to live my life in full to torture the misses. - that is my goal :) )
